FAQ's

-
How early can I put my student on the waitlist for preschool? You can wait-list your child as soon as their start year is listed as available on the waitlist request form.
-
How will I know if my child gets into a class after completing the waitlist form?I do preschool registration in January for the coming fall so you should know by the end of January (of their start year). However, if you are added to the waitlist after January for the upcoming school year, I will call you if a slot becomes available. You will be contacted in the order in which I received the waitlist requests. You are always welcome to call, text, or email with questions.

How do I know which year to sign up for?I teach pre-k, which means you'd enroll for the year before kindergarten. I follow the Cache County School District requirements for the age cutoff. Your child needs to be 4 years of age by Sept. 1st in order to start that year. If you have a child born in July or August it is up to you if you'd prefer to wait an additional year.
-
Would you recommend waiting an extra year if your child was born in July/August?Every child is different. You are probably going to be the best judge of this as the parent. I do have a few qualifiers, however. Your child needs to be completely potty trained and able to handle bathroom needs on their own. (I'm happy to help with buttons and snaps.) There are very few drawbacks to waiting an extra year if your child is born in these months. Your child will be more emotionally, physically, intellectually and socially prepared if you wait. They will likely be better at listening as well as retaining information. It is much more common to wait. I often have students turn 5 just before beginning preschool, so if your child is barely turning 4 they are at a slight disadvantage in many aspects.
-
How many teachers & students are in each class? My class sizes are limited to 15 students max in each class. Most days I am the only teacher, but will bring in extra help during testing and field trips.
-
How can I contribute to classroom needs?I always need drivers and an extra hand for field trips! I'll send out sign-up forms for volunteers before each field trip. Extra supplies are also always in demand. Such as: Clorox wipes, aerosol disinfectant spray, paper towels, printer paper, colored construction paper, class store prizes and snacks.
-
How can I stay informed and involved with my child's education?I send out monthly newsletters via email. Please read them and take note of important dates and occasions so that your child comes prepared. Practice new skills outside of the classroom to help your child retain them through the school year, and into kindergarten. (Such as cutting with scissors, holding pencils correctly, writing their name, shapes, numbers, letter sounds, reading, etc.)
